Hello Everyone!
We are finally recovering from the Poinsettia Premiere. What a busy, fun day!
In the morning during 'the calm before the storm' we were able to snap some staff pictures:

The poinsettia premiere is a special day for our staff as well. A lot of friends, family and customers stop in to see us and our christmas displays.
I love the small touches like the ice skates on the bench :) That was Gracie's idea of course! Grace is our hostess with the mostess and if you have shopped at West Coast Gardens I am sure you know this friendly face:

Grace said she served over 400 cups of cider that night!
One highlight of the event was our hourly door prize draws. We had some customers waiting half an hour for the draw to happen, they really wanted to win!!! We gave away painted poinsettias, 10'' poinsettias, wreaths, planters and more!

Another highlight was the chance to meet Steve Whysall of the Vancouver Sun. Steve was so nice and chatted with everyone while signing his book 'Best Plant Picks' and the 2011 In the Garden Calendar.

I love the lighting in the above two pictures. Around 4pm the sun started to set and that is when all the Christmas lights start twinkling :)
We hope you had a chance to come and celebrate Christmas with us this year at the Poinsettia Premiere! It was great to see you all!
We will be open until Noon on Christmas Eve. See you in store!
