Spring is officially here and we have a lot of exciting things to look forward to in the next month. We hope that you have had time to enjoy the budding tulips and daffodils, to listen to the birds chirping, and to catch a ray of the sunshine when it peeks through.
We are just completing our new twenty-five thousand foot growing space. For those of you who don't know this area is designed to grow more than 5000 more hanging baskets and 150,000 more 4" annuals and garden mum summer crop. We are hoping to have this complete in the next few weeks and are extremely excited and thankful that we are able to keep growing and expanding, thanks to all of our fabulous customers!
We are getting to the tail end of planting our beautiful spring hanging baskets. Get excited because they are going to be stunning to add some colour to your homes this spring and summer! Also keep in mind it is almost time to feed those lawns, so stop by for a visit to get your seed!
We have some spring outdoor planters ready in store to spice up your house for the upcoming Easter holiday. Be sure to check them out!
We have a free lecture coming up with Barry Roberts on ‘Hydrangeas-The New Star of the Gardens’. Hydrangeas, with their billowy brilliantly coloured blossoms, are so hard to resist. Come learn tips and tricks on these amazing shrubs and check out the selection and varieties we offer! This is a free lecture, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity.
Be sure to mark your calendar for the LAST Wednesday of each month for West Coast Gardens CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY! This is something new we started this year as an opportunity to spend some time over coffee and cookies, and to offer some amazing discounts and specials for our loyal customers .
Something exciting that is happening on April 30th is our 3rd ANNUAL LADIES NIGHT. We look forward to this fun night in the gardens with friends every spring. This year our theme is Hawaiian. Check out the information below for more details. Tickets are only $10 so be sure to book your ticket now, as we have limited tickets available! Also a portion of the proceeds of this night will be going the Servants Anonymous Society, who helps women escape human trafficking and exploitation. Garden Time-Savers
Keep a quickie garden kit at the ready. By the back door I have a trug. I keep gloves, hand shears, a weeding tool, right next to my garden shoes. So when I have a little time to garden, I just grab it and go.
Keep your tools organized and in good working order. This is a good chore to tackle in early spring when your itching to get out and garden.
Also be sure to invest in a good garden apron.
